Blue Strut Top Mounts

The strut mounts on my RS2 need to be replaced. I would like to install blue mounts.
I found the following part numbers for S2 Strut Mounts at http://www.s2-audi.co.uk/tech_articles/ ... umbers.htm:

8A0 412 323 D Top Strut Mounts (Green)
857 412 323 B Top Strut Mounts (Blue)

The garage who will do the job, which is one of the local Audi dealers, have green only in stock and cannot locate a part number for blue mounts for the RS2. The part number they quoted for the green mounts for RS2 was different to the part number above.

However they then emailed me a schematic from the RS2 parts book that shows the green part number above, which would seem to indicate that the blue ones would be compatible.

Could anyone confirm that the blue S2 mounts above are suitable/correct for the RS2?

Blue URQ topmounts are 100% compatible. I have used them but am not convinced that they are an improvement over the greens. Neitehr last well on mine with my new brakes...10,000 miles tops.

Thanks for the comments...after doing the research I ended up getting the 'upgraded' green ones fitted....in fact, got some negative comments re the blue ones.

Greens are standard. 8A0 412 323D as fitted to most Audi 80 Quattro inc RS2. Just bought a pair from German and Swedish for less than a tenner each. Bargain as they are original Audi parts.
