Lost Keys

Post by wagabu » Mon Aug 09, 2004 4:35 pm

Trying to recover from the disaster of having lost all the keys of my '95 RS2.

I've been told the only thing to do is dismantle the inner door panel and remove in order to get to the back of the lock. Is this true?

Is this a ridiculously hard operation? Has anyone seen any diagrams or instructions on how to get the job done?

Best, Wagabu

It will take you no more then 45min, take of three screws from inner panel ( one hidden under , behind handle) then slide the panel up don’t try to pull it of, remove two bolts from the handle, lock comes of with door handle.
Hope that will help.
just cant get enough of it

I think removing the tailgate lock is easier.

W,

Maybe leaving all your keys in your other car wasn't the best idea! :bash:

If you still have the tag that carries the unique identifier for your key then you should be able to get a key made easily from a stealer (note i didn't say "cheaply"!)

I just hope there's no way they can make a connection between the theft of the keys and the location of the RS2

(i'll send you that stuff tomorrow - bit busy today)
