wheel touch up kits...do they exist?

Post by AAH! » Fri Jul 09, 2004 3:57 pm

I am deciding whether to get my wheels refurbished at the moment, but I'm currently a bit put off by the prices of around £350 for 4, as qouted by Pristine Alloy Wheel Refurbishing (Milton Keynes) and Diamond Styling (London), especially as they are not in too bad a condition. Also not too keen to leave the car on the street sitting on bricks for a week.

Has anyone come across a decent touch up kit that matches the Porsche silver? Porsche say they don't do one, same goes for Audi.

Audi do the touch up spray cans of paint and lacquer - they do for the Audi wheels - I thought they would for the RS2 wheels. A good paint shop should also have the touch-up cans of paint and lacquer.

There is also the "spit and polish" place that refurbs wheels.

Just had mine touched up at my local body shop. They look new. worked out at £30 / wheel.
