For Still probably the finest performance Audi this side of the original Quattro. Stunning acceleration, handling and brakes; all matched to superb build quality. And the Avant body is practical and spacious.

Against Not the most economical machine to run and insure, but very little if you're in the market for a high-performance car and expect the bills to match.

The one to go for There was only one right-hand drive car - you can opt for a LHD import, but buy with care from a specialist. Overall performance is mighty: with 315bhp on tap, quattro four-wheel drive and 300mm Porsche 968 Club Sport brakes, this is a proper supercar.
