235/45/17 tyres ?

Time has come again for some tyres and the chap in the tyre Shop has a program on his computer that shows width/ diameter / mph etc of various types of tyre. He said have I tried 235/45/17. These are available in all the normal makes and I was wondering if anyone had tried them. Apparently they are a very close match to the originals.
Also do I stick with the Pirellis or do I try something else ?

I think you got lots of feedback on s2forum. The 225/45/ZR17 tyre is the best tyre choice and works very well on the RS2. I currently have 225/45ZR17 94Y Pirelli Neros on mine and this combination works very well on the RS2. Unfortunately, Pirelli have stopped producing them in this rating so ....... I will shortly be ordering 5 of the Michelin 225/45 ZR 94Y tyres from Costco (just waiting for their 20% of special offer)
