fuel consumption on rs2
the trip computer can be altered into 3 different settings to show you a figure closer to the truth.Mine was of course quite off since the new injectors, but i have setted it to show +25% of more consuption and now it reaches the true Kms done roughly.Information is on the s2central page. There is a small switch on the side of the speedometer which you have to take out,and has 3 settings.0,+25%,-25%

Yep, I have adjusted mine - although fluffed it and switched it the wrong way by 25% Doh!

There's another thread running about brakes, George. Read garethjones "RS2 brake upgrade." The collected wisdom is, buy the original equipment brake upgrade from Vagparts. It's cheaper than replacing the original standard brakes!

In case, like me, you want to stay standard, fronts from Vagparts are £97.42 each + delivery + VAT and rears are £209.12 each + delivery + VAT. Fronts are handed, by the way.
This is a good price compared to Audi.

Onboard computer with a mind of its own
Just looked up this old thread and thought I'd add some more complexity to the equation.
Last night I got the infamous 25 miles left in the tank flash up on the dash....followed by the equally infamous "E" sign within the space of about 3 miles!! My old skool fuel gauge was shwoing just under 1/4 full.
For once I'd been driving really economically on motorway runs with little/no traffic....the trip odometer (from full) was on 260 miles
Al - I know you said the computer lies so I thought I would apply some logic to this....
According to my source, the RS2 has a fuel capacity of 64 litres:
http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/ ... ?car=23155
So I filled mine up last night completely full and hey presto, it only took 53 litres. The conclusion therefore....there was 11 litres left in the tank when the "E" for empty light came flashing up.
Al, I should never had doubted you

Re: Onboard computer with a mind of its own
Correction - the RS2 owner's manual states the fuel tank capacity as 61 litres so I had 8 litres in there when it flashed up empty.darkhorse1210 wrote:

Based on the fuel consumption for the 53 litres I would have had another 40miles left in the tank.
This is probably just me justifying it to myself here but just useful knowledge for any new owner who get's spooked by the empty sign
