Alloy Flywheel

Post by brucelubbers » Mon Apr 23, 2007 1:42 pm

Along with other Audi projects I am blessed with a Ur Quattro which has among other mods a 6 speed 'box. I was using a RS2 clutch & pressure plate with a one off alloy flywheel.

The problem i have is that she is just tearing the friction material off the pressure plate. I have put this down to having no damping on either the plate or flywheel (and driving like a ****)

Have any of you guy's had similar problems with your RS2's fitted with alloy flywheels and how did you get around it. Thanks

You need a sprung clutch, the RS2 item is unsprung due to the OE dual mass flywheel

You have quite a few choices. Go and have a look over on the S2forum where we can help you
