I noticed a Ring sticker on the back of your car. Are you often there?? I am, would be funny if we can do some laps together.
greeting,

Hello David,

thanks for your compliment.
A meeting at the nordschleife is a good idea. I am nearly 1-2 times a month there. Last time at the 24h race. I can´t give the nürburgring-virus away
How often are you there?
greetings,

Andy

I try once a month. As I live in the north of Holland it's still some hours of driving. But hey, the autobahn is worth a trip. I'm planning to go the whole weekend of 20 june. Just leave a message if you plan to go... It's the ultimate track for our cars....long straights and nice hills and corners. the best part is its lenght...man you feel free if you drive there ...Another good thing about our cars is that you can scare the [censored] out of those supercars overthere.... big hungry wolves doing their thing......
would be nice if we meet.
To all our Englisch friends: come on man, lets meet each other on the track!!

Congratulations to you and your car.
Here in Brazil there are few track days, but the country is huge and its difficulty to the cops to watch everything ;-)

Tell about the car, how do you care it doing so many track days? And, tell us some curiosities about running the RS2 on a track.

I could hear the tires scratching the inside of your fender. Is it a big deal?

I’ll do a famous hill climb (at leats its famous here – 23th year) of “Pico do Jaraguá” on Saturday. There will be some exotics as Bugattis, Lambos and some old De Tomasos with huge power. I’ll post pics on the weekend.

Regards
Mark

@kram rs2..
allthough i've got an s6plus instead of an rs2..I also take it out on the track...
I upgrated my brakes, movit 348mm set. for me this is the most important thing, because the car is heavy. That bad thing, a heavy car eats tires!! But that's the price you've to pay.

Can't wait till you post your pictures of comming weekend.
greetings, and good luck this weekend rock that hill!!

@ s6plus: What a pitty. On that weekend is another event near my town. From my home it isn´t so far to the nurbürgring. I usually drive 1,5 hours. There are 200 km.
@ KramRS2: There is no special care of my car. You have to drive a good oil like Castrol RS or something. I have change the suspension with components from Bilstein. This is very good. In the corner the car is very, very neutral. In low corners I have a little bit understeer, but this is normal I think. You could see this in the video. Further I have a air-intake for the brakes from the Porsche 993 RS. The brakes are standard RS2. The engine is tuned to 400 hp. I have no problems with this.
I am not so often on track with my car, because it´s to good to drive there. When I am at the Nürburgring I´m looking for nice cars and only drive one lap or two. The scratching on the front tires was not so bad. It was only some plastic in the inside of my fender. After a few laps, there was no scratching Image
Here are two pics from the event on the video Image

Hi again,

Sorry about the delay, but I suffered from “bugbear” in my computer.

I did the hill climb and everything was ok. I took fifth among 75. This year the event was smaller than the others because 3 events occurred at the same day. MG club (at track), Auto Union (Hilll Climb) and Porsche Advanced Dirving. Then there were little opposition.

I don’t have photos yet due to my computer problem, but I think tomorrow everything will be ok again.

I didn’t know hill climb is so good. I’m planning to do more often.

Regards
Mark

PS: The first place went to a 1973 Ford Maverick V8 With R-Copound, more than 400hp and a professional driver. The second place went to a Porsche 1973 Carrera RS with lots of mods and R-Compound tires also. After that :-/ , a Subaru WRX, and then a BMW M5.
