RS2 Oil Consumption

My RS2 seems to have a drink problem.

Is it normal for her to go through 1 litre of oil every two weeks?

All I do is about 500 miles per week to and from work on mostly motorways travelling about 80mph.

The car has a slight knocking sound from the top of the engine which I have not heard before so I checked the oil and it is about a millimetre off the bottom so the oil is going somewhere.

I have placed this on S2 Forum to see if they can come up with anything.

Glyn you must float about the two forums the same as me.

I have put on that forum that I have been using Castrol GTX Magnatec and also another Castrol one in a gold bottle that I can't remember the name of.

For good oil advice it might be worth sending a PM to Oilman (Simon from Opie Oils).
The last oil that I put in my RS2 was Castrol RS 10w-60, that is now renamed Castrol Edge Sport 10w-60. I think that was on the recomendation of Mihnea.

Echo that. In the four years I've had mine, she's never used any oil between changes.
