Lazy Seat Belt....

Post by Lloyd » Tue Jan 16, 2007 6:26 pm

Happy New Year to everyone on the forum!

Quick post to find out of anyone has a good condition 2nd hand (or perhaps new) driver side seat belt unit. The one on my RS2 is a bit lazy and is now taking quite a bit of time to wind the belt up after use.

Would appreciate any suggestions/pointers on where to find ideally a good 2nd hand one.

Also, I've got a small water leak coming from the seal on the rear wiper motor. I've ordered a new one from Alan at VAG parts at a mighty 64p (Audi main dealers wanted £9)

Are there any tips or advice on replacing/fitting the new one as will have a go at this myself this weekend?

Cheers all,

Lloyd

you could lubricate the belt mechanism. It did the trick with me!

OK. How did you go about doing that? Is it easy to get at etc? Any tips/pointers?

Cheers,

I didn't do it myself. But it would be a question of being able to remove the trim spray grease etc reassemble. Easier said than done though.
sorry not to be more help...
