RS2 Help Please!

Post by Gulfb » Mon Jan 08, 2007 3:46 pm

Before I go blundering in can anyone help me with information regarding a silver RS2 that has failed to sell on ebay about three or four times! On the face of it it seems pretty good - but what should I be looking out for? Any help most appreciated or if you have a rhd RS2 to sell then please do contact me.
Thank you - Andrew.

Not sure about the silver MTM e bay one. It may be his reserve is too high. It seems well cared for and the MTM conversion is a Kim Collins job IIRC. Why not contact the guy and ask the usual questions...service history details (and ring some of them)...known issues... major work done....dampers new or old... brakes last serviced etc.
May be worth ringing Kim Collins at QST in case he can shed anymore light on the car. Finally that DVD monitor looks naff on the dashboard !!

That is Charlie's RS2 , you can find him on the S2 forum. The car is pretty genuine as far as I am aware.

Thank you both for the advice and have made direct contact with Charlie seems like a nice guy! He has just placed the car on autotrader for £12,950 which seems a long way off ebay's bidding which only went to mid 8k's! Seems hard to 2nd guess values especially with two nogi blue rs2's just hanging around on pistonheads.
Ps: Must agree the DVD looks crap - if purchased i think this would find its way onto someone else!!!

In that case I would give it a serious look. Enthusiast owned RS2s do not appear too often. :D
