Great day out

Post by Noyjatat » Sun Jul 05, 2015 10:47 am

Great day out yesterday and some truly ridiculous times coming from the cars guys. Made me chuckle to find out you didn't have enough people to bring everything down but the C6 and C7 RS6 were putting in some great performances and the Golf R left a lot of people in the stands looking a each other in shock. I think sales for the 400R may have gone down although it does look lovely.

GTI International at Shakespeare Raceway.

I will see what I can rustle up from the guys with video and pics. I saw the Golf R hit 11.2 a couple of times. The RS6 C7 ran a 10.9 which I saw and for a while was the fastest Audi but got beat later. I spoke to Doug and he said that one of the two RS6's had run a 10.6 before I got there but I am not sure which one. Sure they will be up on their page soon.

My best of the day was a 12.4 which I was really happy with. I reckon theres another .1 maybe .2 in it and thats it. My tyres are what the car came with and will be due for a change in the next couple of months so may get a little out of them and MRC have been playing around with the launch control revs. After yesterday I think we can raise it a little as I had no slip at all on any run.

Its such a good set up for the crowd with the cars queuing in front of them as you can see whats coming up and the turn around time was very quick. A little after lunch I did 4 runs where I didn't wait for more than three cars to go.

Not sure what stage/work has been done to it to be honest buddy. I know they now have the C6 at around 780.

I put the post here hoping Doug or one of the guys will come on and give you all the info relating to the cars. Gavla got some video so will give him a message once he has got everything sorted and get him to post them so you guys can have a look. There were some great sleepers there too. Those remote control jets are super fast!

The RS6 C6 did 11.2 1/4 with wheel spin in 1st causing bad/early change to second. Couldn't do better because of that.

The RS6 C7 did 10.58 on Saturday and 10.51 on Sunday. I did loads of runs and could not find all the slips so might be better. It's a full milltek exhaust filter and custom map

The golf 7 r did 11.2 both days. There is more in that so few more tweaks and back to a 1/4 mile test day soon
