Stage 1 Map vs Stage 2 differences?

Hi MRC/Doug anyone RS246'ers who read this:

Just trying to understand the difference between the stage 1 and 2 tunes you offer. For stage 1 on the site it says MRC Developed tune for standard cars. Is this essentially a file you have developed from your years of tuning experience which you put onto the car and then on the dyno dyno purely to confirm power/health. Or is there an element of tweaking of the map once on the rollers to my car/preferences e.g.) if I don't want it too poppy/bangy? (Car is stock at the moment but will probably just have a simple air filter)
