OK so I know it's a long way off but have just booked this day as it's a bargain at
£130 for an open pit format and a 105dB noise limit (which is plenty!)

I think a few forum folk will be coming along too so if anyone else fancies it get yourselves booked

nice to meet you too
So here's my writeup of the day -
Trackday @ Oulton Park - 14/11/12
With the car going so well I decided to embark on some more trackdays and having never been to Oulton Park before it seemed like a good time to visit with when Apex Trackdays were offing an Open Pit for just £139 which was too good to pass up.
Firstly I have to say that track is HARD to get used to for the first time - at 2.69 miles a lap and with lots of undulations there's a lot to take in and remember. Took a few sessions to even get close to enjoying it, it's been a good while since I've been to a "new" track as it were. But, come the third session I was beginning to find my stride and start enjoying it. It really is a stunning track and one that I would certainly go back to.
The car was flawless yet again, running medium boots (20/21 psi) and with the water/meth on it simply didn't miss a beat! I'd swapped the DS2500 pads for some DS3000 pads the day before and have to say that once they warm up (about a lap or so) they are STUNNING! Far and away better than the DS2500's which I've since been informed were a rubbish choice for track anyhow so that was a waste of £300, I'd ended up overheating them on the track and from that moment they were compromised. I'll have to look at getting some new road pads though, probably the Ferodo Premiers as I don't push the car on the roads so don't need mega braking.
I have an array of videos from the day, not least of which because I was lucky enough to have the use of a Racelogic VBox. A little bit of hassle with the Marshalls over using "suction mounts" meant I only got to use it for the last session but will still have the use of it for Silverstone in a couple of weeks. The other videos are a session from my GoPro and then a few laps from my mates Honda Elise following me, flat shifting flames ahoy!!
Fastest lap of the day for me was a 2.08 (did a few at that time) which I'm happy with given it's not an easy track and it was my first time there
