Post by Revolution » Mon May 16, 2011 2:17 pm

Hi All

We're planning to go over on Friday the 2nd of September on ferry from Hull, get to 'Ring Saturday lunchtime return Monday the 5th and land in UK Tuesday am.

Anyone interested in meeting up with us there or sailing from Hull, please add your name and we will PM further details of Hotel to book etc.

If you've never been before and fancy the trip but dont want to go round in your own car some of us are taking passenger rides too - nothing mental as its a naughty place but a great experience never the less.

Here's the list of customers coming so far:
Myself - RS4 Avant
Steve - RS4 cabby

Is it a closed track day or a public day?

I do fancy going to the ring but only on a closed track day.

Circuit Days are doing a Ring trip in July which I can't make otherwise I would go then, only 60 cars on the track with as many laps as you want.

I am in two minds about doing this trip. I have a work colleague who is going over with a few of his chums (5 cars). £900 does seem a bit expensive just to drive on the track for one day (Hotels are included). Only real advantage is you get to drive the long straight and get to use the starting point at T13 and most insurers will cover you as its not a TF day.

A TF weekend works out around 600-700.

I think I will give the NR700 a miss.

Ten or maybe twelve laps would be about right, last time at Spa I did 320 miles over two days, I don't track the RS so a public day is no good for me as the track toy is not road legal, the cost does include a track day in the UK that's worth about £250.
