One of the guys from worked booked me on, it's run by the times I think, full day breakfast and lunch run in 20 min sessions for beginner, intermedeate and advanced, not for the hardcore but as a first trackday for me looked good

Saw this on times website.

That's the one, I have no idea how good it's going to be, I'm in my RS4 and my mate is in an R8 so we will both be taking it very easily.

ps. Any recommendations for insurance

In the Times they said insurance for the day is typically 1% of the market value of your car.

so on the R8, say £60k, is £600 for the day, plus £200 entrance, plus Fuel

I'm sure Track Day Insurance is not a requirement as i've never heard that. Will likely be Track Day Insurance is available at roughly 1% which is about the norm.

Depends on whos running it...
these days certain companies now require it Paul...
we were luckier back in the day...

I can see why so many people buy cheaper cars to specifically take to the track
