picked up dialynx audi last friday 1st time out at donnington yesterday it was damp very greasy conditions'had booked myself in intermediates to take a softly/softly approach to car

put the wets on

1st session started at back by the end of session had overtaken everyone turn in perfect braking perfect no oversteer no understeer just 4 wheel slide into maclanes then back on power perfect 100% feedback loads of torque through out rev range proper car ,came back in pits with a big smile on my face

2nd session blew intercooler boost pipe off on nearside turbo after 4 laps

what a nightmare to get to didnt help with access; having rs6 intercoolers

3rd session got car back together for last 3 laps flying again

dinnertime swopped tyres to roadtyres had no slicks

4th session after 2 laps tyres had gone off getting massive oversteer when backing off god knows have keith used to race on these came in after 4 laps to swop passengers another 6 laps still flying

5th and final session 2 front tyres shot called it a day

summary

proper car really enjoyed myself perfect finish to 2007 few changes needed but nothing major cant wait to get back out again soon

cheers steve

Nice one Steve, sorry I didn't get down to see you mate - sounds like she's set up really well, when do you think you can try her on slicks?

Cheers,

Andiroo

I think its the RS4 bodied 1.8t quattro saloon that he blitzed castle combe with in his first year racing. I thought it was having a transplant with an RS4 lump??......... Is this true?
