Palmer Sport day. Interested ?

Post by Scotty » Thu Aug 02, 2007 11:29 pm

Guys,

A few of us on Tyresmoke are going to book up a day at Palmer Sport. If you haven't done it then I can thoroughly recommend it.

It's a full day ragging all the cars as fast as possible with encouragement from the instructors to push harder :D

It's about £650 which to my mind compares well against a normal trackday in your own car.

We're looking to book soon so if you're definitely interested (obviously it will depend on dates) then please post below.

Cheers
B8 A4 Avant quattro
Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird
Suzuki GSXR1000 (Track bike)
B6 S4 (AMD Stage 3) - GONE
8N TT (APR/AMD/MTM) - GONE

Paul, slap me down as a possible depending on dates.

TBH, £650 is not quite comparable with a normal trackday, as it's over 3 times the price :):)

I think you're in denial.

The real cost of a trackday with pads, disks, tyres, fuel, trackday fee etc is a lot more than a 1/3 of the above price  ...and that's without the optional trackday insurance, accomodation, food and drink etc.

However the bad news is the above price was not that accurate.

It's actually £671+VAT or in August £731+VAT. :?

It's a truelly superb day but it's adding up to in value to more like a weekends 'ring trip.

I'll be speaking to them about prices slightly later in the year.... and also some of my suppliers to try and blag me another freebie!! :D

Go on then... I heard it was around the £750ish mark, but a fantastic experience and good value for money. Depends on dates though as I've got two stag do's and three weddings over next three months.
Present:...

Denial?? most certainly

I always forget about those small consumable costs :D & the fact the Palmer day is in someone elses motors, so fair point my good man.

Let us know the dates/costs & i'll try to make this as i've heard several times how good these days are.

Note: Early/mid Sept is pretty booked up with Scuderia combined with RS246 Ring Trip, October is looking OK, but mid/end Nov is also a busy one as i'm in the US for a couple of weeks.
