3 months into S4 ownership I feel ready to announce that I now know Absolutely EVERYTHING there is to know about S/RS Audis
I have established how to open the bonnet, use my trip computer and even adjust my steering column! If there are any other members that live in South Wales who ever do meet up's or track days then let me know! Despite how useful my vast technical knowledge there might even be the odd thing you could teach me.
PS The only thing I'm not a 100% on, Is my car is a straight 6 or just a V8. I'll only believe you if your Welsh!

i'm in South Wales and will be picking up my RS4 next week. Have had an STI for the last couple of years and the social/meet scene has been great so will be looking for the same with the Audi. A i am new here i now far to little to comment on your engine spec, even if i am Welsh!

An RS4, very very nice. Are you buying it as road car or do you have track day aspirations. I just did my first track day in mine on Saturday and it was a hoot, i was quicker than the old style subarus and about the same a one standard STI. I think an RS4 would have the meausure of all salon cars on the track if you get a spare set of wheels with suiatable track tyres. When you get your car anounce it on the forum and we can catch up somewhere .
cheers Stu

Thanks for straightening that out for me on the engine configuratuon. Normally you can hear clearly whether someings a v6 staight 6 or v8. Thing is with the whistling and whining from the Bipurbo supercharger its hard to tell!

Well i now have it! Not too sure on the track aspirations - i perfer heading into the mountains - i know some great roads not too far from home:D
As for pure pace my old STI was seriously quick and the jury is still out as to which is quicker out of the old and new. One thing i do know is the RS4 cabin is definately the better place to be
Give us a shout sometime..

Congratulations, what colour/spec is it ? Although the track is an absolute riot, i think these 1500Kg + audi's are maybe just too heavy and hence expensive for me personally to do regular trackdays in.
I could not bring my self to start lightening the car by ripping out all the luxury. RE. the mountains -I used to do allot repping all over wales and my favourites in the south are the road from Builth Wells to Newtown on the one from Llandeilo to Aberystwyth. Have you done those ?

a few times

and i agree about the weight issue. At the same time i was fully aware when i bought it - i have had 4 years of outright pace but wanted a change to something more 'grown up'
As for the car it's a black saloon with all the toys
