Hertford Area meet

Post by derdle » Fri Jun 29, 2007 2:37 pm

Anyone interested in a meet one sunny evening (might have to wait a while given the current weather!!) in the Hertford Area.

I know CliveD and Jarv have both expressed an interest - perhaps you could post or PM me with dates when you are free in July and I'll see if I can propose a suitable date.

I'd be up for a meet, but would also favour a weekend. As discussed previously, one suggestion would me the small car meet at The Goat at Hertford Heath on the first Sunday of the month (IIRC). Trouble is, I can't make 8th July, but probably would be able to do 5th August.

Yep - the Goat at HH is fine by me....

However, you won't get me away from British GP on the 8th, so suggest the 5th August as first meet ??

Hi
I'm up for it, any weekend except GP will do. Cannot do 4th Aug.

May be interesting for those that want to see a 54,000 mile B7

The Heath is big enough to land your chopper.

How about:

Sunday 29th July
Sunday 15th August

(Neither date clashes with a GP)

The Heath is big enough to land your chopper
Except there should be an air exclusion zone because of the TV transmitter up there.

Guys, I might be up for it - depending on dates.

Hertford Heath aint too far from me - plus my cuz lives there who drives an A3 so he may pop over too.

Can't do the next 2 weekends. But after that - as far as I know - Im a free man.
01 RS4, Milltek, Dahlback Racing rears, RS6 fronts and a few bits to be added.

Also, as I hate driving, my toy to play with - a Honda CBR F Sport

I can't do 15th August, but I reckon I'd be OK for 29th July or 5th August.

The point of suggesting the 1st Sunday in the month is that there is already an informal gathering of interesting cars up at The Goat on that day. I guess it depends if we want to keep the gathering an S / RS affair (in which case, parking at the heath won't be a problem), or whether we want to educate a few non-believing petrol-heads into the strong force of the four ring legend.

Excellent, that makes me want to make it the 5th even more.

Seriously, like I said, 29th is fine by me, maybe if we make it monthly then the next one could be 2nd September, unless of course James Allen and Mark Blundell, two of the most annoying TV commentators (not the most as Tildsley is a class above in that respect) are commentating on the world formula 1 pit stop championship on that day as well.
