Preparation for driving own car at The Ring

Post by carolynbarker » Fri May 18, 2007 10:26 am

I've been going to The Ring for 10 years, so have seen far too many bad prangs, even a minor one in your beloved car is sad, expensive and hassle.
I unstructed for 2 years at The Ring with Ron Simons www.75experience.co.uk , this is a very sound, fun, low cost way to learn this track before risking your own car. However, we all love to drive our own machines at this awesome place.
Another thing to help prepare for the Ring is to improve your sensitivity in car control.
I'm running one of my Driver Development courses on May 31st at the Prodrive test facility with a special price for Rs246 members of £280.
I can't stress how much this kind of day helps you get closer with your car. The day gives you a rare opportunity to focus totally on your cars handling characteristics and your own skills...what ever level you are. David has posted a good description of the day in this section.
If 31st May is a no go, then I run the course on other days. Look at the website www.driverdp.com for information and contact details.
