My first track day is coming up:

Got a track day going for Sunday 13th May. Rockingham. Max cost £75. I'd love for a few cars from here to come along to support the S4. Oh yes. the slow porsche will be there, and the S1 hopefully tbc. Also a track prepped 200sx and more.

Everybody welcome.

The more we have the lower the cost, simply the cost of the track hire divided by the cars!

To boot, if you've got a porsche or can take those tyres, 2nd hand will be available free on the day plus fitting if you let me know what size you are before hand.

Is it the full international circuit that is available?

I've got no idea dace, i'll check tomorrow for you.

The day has been arranged by friend of friend, as it's my first i don't really mind what track it is.

Shaping up so far though. in my "group" it looks like we've got the carrera 4, my s4, an S4 4.2, the s1, a couple of boxsters, a 200sx track, something jap and possibly a 7.5 litre pontiac.

I could be interested as well - with maybe a few cars - need to know full details asap... which track, cost, how many laps or open pit etc etc...

Yes, add me to the list too. Only ever spectated there but assuming its the full circuit (you get to do some of the bank), I'll have some of that please

Is it an organised day ? i.e. with a recognised trackday company or have you hired the track privately. Makes no odds to me but track cover on insurance policies does not cover private days.

We're on private hire.

Looking like drive round for 5 - 6 laps, pit and join queue to go back on.
Track time is relevant to the number of cars that show, and the take up has been great.

Can accom. 3 cars from here max now, so if you can confirm quick that would be good.

Would be great to have a good showing from Audi Power!

My insurer (allianze cornhill) don't do track cover. Any recommends?

Also, any more insight in to the "private hire" insurance question?
