Is this a good day out for an Audi enthusiast?
I'm sure it's VW biased but the event does say it's for us Audi owners too (not that we don't have a MKIV Golf anyway).
Think I might see if I can make this one.

The organisers publish Audi Driver magazine as well as VW Driver magazine so it's more balanced than you might think.
The sprint has an Audi 4WD drive category.
In fact one of my best memories was a red RS2 launching perfectly at the Bentwaters venue a few years ago, goodbye GTI..
I'm sure an RS246 club display would be very welcome and I'd be first to put my name down..

I too would attend if a forum display were to be set up ?
I have been to many GTI internationals right back to the early 90s and altho they dont seem to have that feel they did when they were at the TRL @ Crowthorne it is still a pretty good event with some seriously quick machinery flying up and down the strip all weekend...........
There has always been a good selection of Audi cars there and several years ago there were a couple of Oettinger RS4's on the strip.
I believe there is an award to be had for best club display?

1/4 of a mile strip races are murder on quattro's - and last year I had to go down to tow some home...
Fun day out, but can be expensive unless you know how to launch a Quattro, and if you do you will be slower...
Give me a track day anytime - but hey! what do I know?

I've no intention of taking part, just wondered if it's good day out to spectate the 1/4's, trade stands, show and shines etc etc.

Chubby, just do what Ian Birch from Dubsport does, give the person in the other lane a head start and (after a gentle start) go reel em in a few seconds later

I did that last time - said I wasn't going but ended up going down to tow a friend home - had two goes - just get it going off the line and then floor it - very pleasing when you get it right.
It is a good day out plenty to see and meet people - better if its fine of course.

If we get a stand, who's in 100%?

I will do both days too, if my car is stand worthy of course! Have been looking at this event for a while. Is there a camp site on venue??

I hope to do one of the days. Can't say for sure until nearer the time though...

I am up for the Saturday, went last year and its a great day out. Not as good as the old Crowthorne days but still well worth attending.

I wish it was still @ Crowthorne. Very local for me.
