Anyone fancy coming over to the IOM this summer to make use of no speed limits ??
And for anyone coming over during the TT, this is the new idea from the Police

Liverpool then onto a ferry...
I would be well up for this. My brothers wife has family out there, so all depends on if they can take me in etc, so it has to be timed with them, spose I could just get a B&B or suminc. Anyways, well up for it!!

Not such a crazy idea!
With a word to the right people the police will shut the mountain road for a group to use for a few hours!! Normally they will do this if the group is large enough, i.e. not worth it for 5 cars, and they do it on a Sunday morning first thing while it’s quite anyway.
So we get the mountain section to ourselves for a few hours, one way

I'd be up for it. I tried to sort something late last year. Some of the hotels do pretty decent deals including meals and the ferry.
May I suggest September ? It's after the holiday rush - firmly into blue-rinse territory

Sounds like we have a fair bit of interest then!! Good!
Anytime is good for me.
I think the only thing happening over Aug/Sept time is the Manx Grand Prix, which is like a smaller version of the TT is on at the end of the Aug with the weekends of the 18th and 25th having practice sessions to watch in the evenings.
There are also track (airfield) days here but I not sure you want to come all the way over here to go round an airfield! (Considering we have the TT course sitting there!)
Duke Track Days
There are normally two ferry routes over here from Heysham and Liverpool, but unfortunately they went and crashed the Liverpool ferry this month so that route has been suspended for now, although I hear reports that they are going to take the Heysham ferry and use it for Liverpool at weekends now.
Steam Packet
There are plenty of hotels over here and parking security is never usually a problem. The two main hotels that come to mind are the Hilton in the centre of Douglas and Mount Murray which is just outside of town.

I will be over for the manx gp would love to take the car but i will be taking the bikes in a van, would tow them over but dont fancy having a tow bar fitted to the RS4avant!
I will be over at jurby a couple of times watching the testing(classics) might even take in the infamous jurby junk!!
A meet would be good over in the IOM i would be up for it!
We could all meet up on the sea front at Laxey or Peel for a photo shoot with all the cars parked up next to each other!

Think you can only tow for a short distance with a quattro... the manual said seomthing silly like 50 miles. Or is that BEING towed rather than towing?

I fancy some of this.
There's a guy on the TT forum who's organised a couple of trips whith the track day and road closures. If there's interest I can make enquiries. He also managed to get good deals on the ferrt IIRC
