RS246 Nurburgring Trip 14-17 April 2007

OK, here it is, just confirmed.


Sat 14th April

(option to travel to Dover on Friday night after work)

Dover - Dunkerque 10:00 sailing 13:00 arrival

5 hours to ring (depending)

Tourist driving 18:00 - 19:30

Some beer & food


Sunday 15th April

Tourist Driving 08:00-19:30

Some beer & food


Monday 16th April

Very early start for a max speed run on a derestricted autobahn, then perhaps the museum and lunch.

Tourist driving 13:00 - 19:30

Lots of beer & lots of food.


Tuesday 17th April

Travel back for 14:01 Dunkerque - Dover Sailing arriving UK 15:00

Dam, i'm there the weekend after.

Would of liked to have gone with the 246 group :( Don't think I'll get another pass for the same week.

Even better :)

He's got an E34 and an E39, both the same purple colour. He's coming in the E39 I think.

i,ll prob make my own arrangements with regards to hotel etc..but ive penciled in the date..
i hope to pick u my car this week..its also an E39..carbon black..

saw this via David's post on trackdayheroes.com

I'm there that weekend already with another group of people staying @ the ringhaus, so will see you lot there :)


Our itinerary is something like :

Saturday morning 03.00 ish GMT: We get a ferry from Dover to Calais.


Saturday morning 06.00 ish CET: we hightail it the 289 miles from Calais across Europe.



Saturday morning 11.00 ish CET: we arrive in Nurburg and drop the bags in at the hotel and walk down to watch the VLN endurance race probably around Brunchen and Wipperman



Saturday afternoon 1600: race finishes so head down and do some spotting laps on the Ring for the first time before it closes for the evening.



Saturday Evening: A meal at the Piston Clause


Sunday Morning: ring time



Sunday Afternoon: ring time



Sunday Evening: Piston Clause


Monday morning: Pack up and stuff.



Monday afternoon- Monday afternoon (1300 CET ish): catch the afternoon session on the track before leaving to return to Calais for a late evening ferry.
