Audi Driver International 14/10/06 - 'Club Display Area'

Guys, thanks for supporting this.

I have arranged with Autometrix to have a 'Club Display Area' at this event.

Please post here if you want your car displayed. Deadline is 05/10/06. Passes will be handed out on arrival at the event.

If you say yes, please ensure you attend as the organiser does not want half empty areas, which is understandable.

There is no cost for this (you still pay the £5 per person entry fee though).

No upper limit, so get posting

Again, top job David. Is this an official or unofficial gathering, i.e. do we get to play with the 246 banner?

I've added myself to the list, though I've already signed up to the morning track sessions so I'll be in and out, as will a few of us I guess. Put me in the 'stonechipped front bumper work-horse' section at the end, I don't want to be shown up by the show and shine chaps.

Thanks for sorting this David

Word of warning, if you elect to place your car on the 'club stand', organisers expect cars to be in place for 8.30.........Once the photos have been done, cars are free to leave the stand for track or go home... they are quite animated about this.

Hi Dave
I will certainly be there and more than likely will be with Keith again on the Dialynx stand as you know. If not I'll join you too. Can join you anyway at various time throughout the day I'm sure in between jaunts round the track :bigblink:
Just so you know the awards are all given out at a gala dinner in the evening at the Swindon Hilton. I've attended this for the past few years and its usually a good evening. Perry McCarthy was last year's guest speaker and he was very good value. If RS246 win that's where the award will be handed out. Even if you are a winning recipient everyone has to pay for that meal which is £30 or so per head. When non-attenders win some person from Autometrix usually collects on their behalf. I will probably be doing the meal too cos Keith and I usually go for the crack and the pi**-up along with our better halfs. They do a deal for B&B at the same hotel which is usually quite reasonable for a very nice hotel. All the details for this is are on their site. Maybe we should have a RS246 table for dinner too :<beep>_you:

Feel free to PM me if you like. See you there for our little 'experiment' anyway.
Deane
