Central/South Midlands Area Meet - Location Poll, 2!

The revised options poll thread.........

OK. Following on from discussions on and off the forum with S4TAN and KayGee about some GTGs or Meets, I would like to start getting some feedback on preferred location. Unofficial if there is such a thing as an official RS246 meet!

I guess those I am trying to tempt are those interested in attending a meet in the Central/South Midlands Area.

I understand previously there have been MK meets which have been popular. However I haven't seen any publicised recently. I don't want to step on anyone's toes, so if these are happening or are established and it's easier for them to be resurrected - just say!

So before worrying about venue, day of the week or exact dates, vote for which location you would actually travel to to attend. Vote for the options for more than one location if you would happilly attend - the most popular one has to be the best starting point to attracting the best turnout.

I have suggested 4 locations as these are in the general area, a little way apart and I know we have a few members at least local to all, but the catchment will differ between each for those travelling further depending on direction.

Vote and comment away!

Graham

Any of these will work, I work in one (Ayl) and live in the other (MK). Always good to get over to see Doug and Mihnea so Banbury not a problem either.

Well so far we have 8 votes, all of which agree Banbury to be an acceptable location.

I dare say, should the Babnbury location turn out to be MRC, the list would grow, especially if we are talking a weekend.

I am thinking fairly soon - enough time for people to plan, but lets do it before we loose the weather completely.

I should really PM Doug to see if his offer (lost in deletion of old thread with crumby poll options) stands and what days and times he could accomodate, then we are down to choosing a date.

Otherwise, down to S4TAN or someone else who knows Banbury to suggest a location. Either that or I just have to drive around until I find somewhere. It's all hard work!

I would like a weekend. What about you guys?

Yeah, as its dark about 8 (and i'm not allowed out in the dark anymore :) ) I think a Saturday would be ace. I don't have college Sat 2nd or 9th September.

I'm guessing if Doug/MRC are hosting, it will be when they are closed - but I really don't know. Have PM'd Doug, lets see if he can add some comments.

OK. I have been in touch with Doug. The offer for MRC to host is still on. I think this will go down well.

I suspect this may attract a few from further a field than the local meet I originally had in mind. As CliveH said to my girlfriend when I was there last, "this is our Mecca"!

The possibilities are evenings or a Saturday afternoon.

I think a Saturday afternoon is favourite, although speak up if you want to differ.

So venue confirmed MRC Tuning, Banbury

The options on the table are the afternoons of:

Sat 16th September
Sat 23rd September
Sat 30th September

Could all those who have voted, or those now swayed by the venue, please state their preferance on date(s).

A list of attendees who great. Perhaps if we copied and pasted the existing list as we went, adding our names in our replies.

I'll start.

GrahamS4 - 16th, 23rd or 30th.
