Hi people.

Do we have any plans for this yet ?

I know accomodation can be hard to find for this, so I would like to hear if anyone is going, when (what day), where your staying, etc

I plan to go but on the bike, and with a group of other people. It would be good to try to all stay together if possible though. We have a hotel in mind which is a shortish 45minute drive from the circuit. Not ideal but the wives won't entertain camping

it seems that a group of us will almost certainly be going on bikes now.

This is a group of IAM bikers, all up for a good laugh (wives included !).
We will be heading over to the 24hrs, then going over to the black forest for the remainder of the week, and meeting up with another 40 or so members in north-eastern France for some serious socialising the following weekend.

I'm not organising this as such, I just input my ideas that tied in nicely with some others' ideas too.

The guy organising it is still trying to sort out accomodation for LM though.
Once I know any more I'll PM you with details.

Btw, Another biking mate normally goes across and camps, getting his tent taken over & back by his car driving mates. Not sure of the colour of the camp site but it is the big one just outside the main gate apparently.

Am an IAM driver not biker though, will I qualify

course you'll qualify, as long as you can keep up !

Just thought I'd re-iterate my invite for anyone to at least pop along and say "hi" next year... As it sounds like you definitely won't be camping with the rest of the plebians, this means you JohnW! Our group'll be in Houx Annexe as usual, just head for the largest flagpole (it's a cut down tree actually) and we'll be there!
Other indicators will be a paddling pool, a Spot Hire minibus or transit van from Tonbridge, my car and a dolphin weathervane (don't ask)...

That's a swear word mate. Heavier the better - it helps to balance the bike over the bumps !
As long as you can do some serious eating, drinking, talking bollox, and you can put up with the sore arse after 250 to 300 miles of twisty passes, you'll be larfin'.

I'll know more after we meet up next week. Hopefully I'll find out where they normally camp/park too. Currently its 10 people on 7 bikes, and I'm getting excited already !

It must be 100 times worse on a treader. At least we have an engine to power us up the hills.
