RS Drivers Challenge Oct 2004 - Who's going?

Thought I'd bring this back to the top and get the ball rolling as the time seems to be flying along and we'll soon be in October before we know it.
So who's up for the challenge this year then? I Know a few of you are lacking the right equipment (and also have the wrong car- tim, joshie) but are still coming along for the ride anyway. It would be nice to see a good attendance from the British RS's again and deny some of those german geezers from getting all the shiny trophies. (and yes for those of you worried, if your driving is smooth and consistant you can win the challenge in a STANDARD car!!!!)
PhilT and JohnE did all the organising for last years trip which included a visit to the Audi factory and also a visit to the Movit factory, which believe me for those with the cash in there pocket on the day was well worth it!! Not sure what will be happening on this years itinary as yet ?? Phil are you sorting this out as you did last year? do you need any help at all? Are we doing the ring also?
Get putting your names down people.
Vinny.

If i still have the car, nothing will stop me from entering the RSDC04 as it really is a fantastic event, but the whole trip is really is the essence of why i love going. But even if i dont have the car i will attend if we do the Nordschlife or Spa. But who knows what i will be driving.
Cheers

Would I get away with it if I added an R in front of my S4?

You may not be able to do the actual drivers challenge, but you'd certainly be welcome to come along for the rest of the trip ! The atmosphere and banter is what makes the trips what they are, not just the track driving!
I'm certainly aiming to be there...work/funds permitting!

I'm not sure I could be the Michael Collins of the trip. Going all that way and not doing the real mission.
Never mind. Maybe in the future.

There's probably quite a few people going who aren't actually gonna do the drivers challenge - there was talk of doing another trackday whilst we're there...which obviously everyone would be able to do...

I am going anyway. Obviously cant compete in the challenge, but fully intend to blag rides and get myself all seasick in other peoples moatas while mine is being brake - fettled by Guido Frensemeyer himself prior to a seriously hard spanking, the day after, which should hopefully be on the mutha of all circuits. The widowmaker. The "Grune Holle" which will by then actually be rather more autumnal, (and slightly less "grune"!). The unpredictable awfulness of the Nordschliefe. That ribbon of tarmac in the Eiffel mountains - the claimee of so many a mans vehicular delight.
The drive down through Frog, Belg, the feathering of the throttle FOLLOWED BY the full - on badness of derestricted German Autobahn speed excess. Tunnel - vision me, baby. Well, that and the promise of seriously cheap cigs on the way home back through Belg is what does it for me - ooh, and the chance to roast the engine and senses while en - route. And then try some Belgian tongue.
Do it - or just do your day job.

Hi guys,
I'm checking for you if there's still room at the Spa-Francorchamps track day on Saturday 23rd Oct (the RS challenge should happen on Sunday 24th it seems).
I'm asking for potentially SEVEN entries "for the islanders who drive on the wrong side of the road and eat boiled meat"

.
Hope that's ok, will keep u posted if possible, with the proper booking details.

The RS Challenge is on the Sunday Eric?
Spa - Francorchamps is supreme, but so is the Nordschliefe.
Can one of the mods please decide for us now?
