Le Mans - 28th March (Stag Doo)

Ken and I were discussing the track day at Le Mans on the 28th.... It will be my last weekend as a free man, and might be an opportunity for a bit of a stag doo.

Long weekend maybe Friday to Monday?

Just a thought at the moment, no concrete plans, just testing the water...

Sorry Phil, but what means stag doo?
For doo my dictionary just sais: cock-a-doodle-doo
Might not be the word I'm looking for.
But we would be interested!( in a track day)

Is this a track day or is it to watch a race?

That's exactly the position I'm in Ken.

Dearly want to come but it really will come down to how much grovelling I'll be able to bring to bear .

What it may mean is that Le Mans (June) may have to be sacrificed but I reckon that this would be far more fun.

So basically I'm up for it subject to receiving authorisation from "The Boss"

Hello everybody Image

Here's a link to the Bugatti track map
http://www.silhouet.com/motorsport/tracks/bugatti.html
"Specification: The Le Mans Bugatti track was built in 1966, and runs for 4,305Km, with numerous tight corners and a chicane. The track was built around the still existing famous 24 Hour Endurance track. The Bugatti track hosts the Formula 3000 championships and the moto GP is sponsored by PHA."

Here's how the "short" 4.3km track fits into the large one :

Just two comments on this AudiPassion trackday :

1. I've asked the guy in charge of the event to give 100% confirmation (it should be already but I've seen weird things with trackday dates before) as this event could carry a bit more than just driving Image

2. It's a private/informal trackday like the rs246 Oulton Park one.
So while it gives you the unique opportunity to drive on the short Le Mans track (again, not the 15km Le Mans 24hours track which includes open road), it will still pale in comparison with the massive 24hours event (for those who may have to choose between the two).
Cheers and looking forward to meeting many of you again Image Image

a stag doo a week before you get married and one out of the county too, your a brave man indeed. Or are you just very trusting and hope that you can,
1. grow any body hair that is removed
2. hope the bruises will fade before the big day
3. be let out of jail and your passport returned
4. get a pick to release you from your shackles where you were chained starkers to the entrance to the pit lane, very willingly after 15 pints!!!!
