Sat 24th Jan - Rockingham Track Day

Just been sent an invite to Rockingham's first track day they have run.
It is on Sat 24th Jan on the National circuit.
£80 if you book before 16th Jan. Otherwise £100 or £120 'on the day'.

07:30 paddock access
08:00 Sign on
09:30 Breifing
10:00 Track access
13-14:00 Lunch
17:00 End

Options
£40 Additional driver
£20 Passenger
£10 Helmet hire

I emailed them to find out more about the circuit and received this back (I couldn't find it on the web site):

It would appear the concrete walls are not that close as it doesn't look like you get to use the banking.

For £80 and being wihtin 1 hour I'm tempted...ponder ponder...

I've ridden the national circuit on a bike at a track day.
Not sure how the RS4 will fare, being a bit on the lardy side.

You will see from the track layout that you do what seems like a long multi-appexed right with a 90 right at the end of it, then spend a long time doing a long multi-appexed left followed by the hairpin.

It certainly isn't a power circuit. More about getting your lines right and carrying corner speed.

As for concrete, when I went just after the track was opened the only concrete was the wall along the start straight.
