I have the club flags. Can I ask someone with an Avant to stick them in their car. I’ll have my little one in the back and he’ll tolerate them for a while but would be good to swap them over at the meeting point.

Be really good for someone else to store them too. I’ve had them for a year or so now. Faisal had them before me.

Any volunteers?

Gents,

Apologies for the radio silence been a bit busy dealing with my divorce but I have had a chance to sit down and sort something out in terms of meet beforehand.

As I said earlier I am staying at The Percy Arms, Chilford on Friday night, they have a fairly decent sized car park so I propose that we meet here if that is ok with everyone, google maps link below:

https://www.google.com/maps/place/The+P ... -0.5259499

The paperwork says that the gates are open at 06:45 but public can't come in until 09:00, so I suggest a meet time of 07:30 at the car park and aim to leave about 07:45 - 08:00 to get to Dunsfold about 08:15. This gives everyone enough time to clean and polish their cars before the public enter.

TLDR;

Meet: The Percy Arms, Chilford, GU4 8NP
Time: 07:30
Leave: 07:45 - 08:00

If anyone wants to make amends to this that may be better let me know and then I'll add the details on the first page. Also if anyone is local and fancy's a pint Friday night drop by, stops me being the lone weirdo at the bar.

Sorry to hear about your divorce Dunc.
There's absolutely no chance I'll be able to herd wife and kids out the door by 06:50, so will probably need to meet you all at Dunsfold (more than likely, at around 08:59! ).

No worries.

Haha, yeah might be a stretch there.

I tried to think of the latest time we could meet/leave so as not to get stuck in traffic when the public come in.

I’ll head to the meet-up point and see you guys there

Had a bit of last minute drama with the R8. Ended up with really bad watermarks all over the car a couple of weeks ago...the rain seemed to combine with some kind of fallout and leave yellow marks everywhere on the gyeon ceramic coat.

Turns out the gyeon has no warranty (wish I knew that) and they wanted nothing to do with it.

My detailer seemed to feel pretty bad about it though - and picked up my car from my home yesterday, polished off the gyeon, applied gtechniq crystal serum ultra (9yrs warranty) and EXO ...and dropped it back to me this afternoon. Only charged me for the materials.

I wanted to give gyeon a go - but I’ll be sticking with gtechniq coatings from now!

Mine says 20% chance of rain and 18 degrees.

Anyone have a marquee/gazeebo similar to the one we had at AITP last year, just in case? Or we can buy some cheap walkie talkies and just talk to each other while sat in our cars keeping dry.

Just hope it's not too boggy under foot after a few days of solid rain! I haven't got a gazebo unfortunately, would be good to have one though!
