My shotgun comment was actually making the point that he is spouting off and absolutely not what I would call a front man! But equally I’m not going to censor his comments for the ‘good of the club’!

Personally, I wouldn’t have brought it up at all!

I initially made a tongue in cheek comment as we were called out for our ‘special treatment’ and a couple of posts later it would have been the end of it, except that others (in EditionNoggy) carried it on - that’s their prerogative.
I then felt it worth noting that while putting the point across blunt/brashly it was the feeling that the 8-9 of us had on the day. But claiming it’s just us that have this view is bizarre as it absolutely is a widely held opinion, just maybe this is the first time it’s be publicly brought up on this forum?

I’m not really interested in having a shouting match on here about it. Cya round!

Hold on, you brought us into this :bash: “How come the Nogaro club get prime position? What’s special about them?“ did you forget you wrote that?

You say we should be united but then assume you are more “special” than the edition noggy stand! That doesn’t seem to be very united.
These are all valid questions. But the real question is; why do you care so much? Why has this got your Noggy knickers all in a twist?
The same reason you do, you put some effort into your own reply’s too.

we are a tight group of friends that have put a lot of effort into our club, we stick together, regardless of if there was intention on the original comment, it was a bit crappy to say, we where just backing our side or fighting our corner so to speak.

Maybe at the next show we should all just meet up and clear the air and get off on a better footing as I’m sure we’ll be bumping into each other quite a lot at shows from now on :thumb:

And for reference, I just like the colour  I don’t think it’s superior and I had no idea on its background when I picked my first noggy up  it does grow on you though :bash:
If you're such a tight group and you're all so proud about the effort you've all put in, why do you give a toss about what we say?! Just walk away, singing "Shake it off" - then go back to worshipping A COLOUR!

I'd have zero interest in meeting you, you'd clearly have a crying session telling me how I hurt your feelings for mocking you for falling in love with A COLOUR. You'll be sobbing, saying "it's not just A COLOUR". Your big insecure fake breasts will be pressed against me, I'll look down and I'll see the top of your Noggy g-string and I'll shudder, the whole time thinking "oh ffs, all of this over A COLOUR". Nah, fcuk that, I don't want to meet you.
Anyways.
Keep it up, Champ. The Noggy peoplez love their captain.
No matter where you go, there you are.

You seem reluctant to accept that you weren’t “picked on” by Jon’s initial comment. It was a random example - it could’ve been any other group/forum given a prominent position by the organisers.

But - given your outbursts since- it’s difficult not to form an opinion now.

Bollocks. I turned up to ADI in a rusty, dirty, piece of turd Audi TT a couple of years ago. I was still on the RS246 stand.

If any of you guys came along to a meet in ANY of the cars in the group - you’d be more than welcome.

Just leave the hysterical judgmental attitude at home please. Nick summed it up best - you’re basically using a negative encounter in Wales to tar us all with the same brush, and making a mountain out of a molehill.

Website works fine thanks, Twitter seem to do something odd with their analytics in the link. But frankly I couldn’t care less about Twitter!

The link when clicked doesn't direct properly and the page fails to load. I'm no computer expert but tried it on both a desktop and laptop with the same result.

Out of interest why did you contact the FB page asking about Nogaro Edition’s?
You’ve clearly formed your opinion of us, yet want to know more?
We know some people don’t care for Noggy, but equally, as proved by our existence, lots do! Don’t think there’s any reason to be rude about it/us.

I was just curious as to what the official spiel was for defining an Edition Noggy, as I believe the only Edition model released is newer than your collective group.

The rudeness comes from pitching up at someones own backyard and slagging them all off. What did you think would happen? I've been fortunate enough to attend an Audi organised event for social media groups and we minggled well with the Audi SRS and Audi Sport people. Afterall, we do enjoy the same products, just for different reasons perhaps.

As for Wales-Gate;
While Banana Man is walking round with a shotgun (that’s his way!), I will say this;
We approached the guys with a “Oh cool, more Audi’s” attitude ,and got back a “Oh look, idiots with slow, old blue Audi’s” attitude.
This wasn’t just one person either. I walked away thinking how sad it was that if I’d been in my brand new RS3 (not Noggy) I’d likely have got a better welcome. As I said before, some don’t get the Noggy thing and that’s fine, but regardless of this, you can still choose not to look down your nose at any fellow Audi enthusiast IMO.
As previously said, that is the stigma this forum has had for a while, and on that day seemed to be upheld! I guess stereotypes exist for a reason, no smoke without fire n all that.
I’m sure if you are accepted into the 246 clan they are all lovely guys (which explains the defence’s offered above), but if you are not driving an acceptable machine then that’s not what you get it seems.

Can't speak for your own experience in Wales, as I was unable to make that meet up. But I do know the vast majority who were there and speak confidently, that they wouldn't look down their nose at anyone. Perhaps some misunderstood banter was exchanged? The whole acceptable 'machine' theory you have about us, is just way of the mark too. At that Wales meet there were forum members in Volvo, Jaguar and Nissan cars.
Hopefully I got the right Blue

I agree! As I said above, I personally would never have personally brought up the whole stigma/Wales thing and chalk up our experience to a one off.
I only commented on the subject to attempt to draw it to a close and make the point that it is what it is.

I’ve also chatted to all and sundry from whatever forum at these shows and on the whole people are all very friendly etc. Sure you’re not gonna be best mates with everyone you meet but that’s just life! No need to go online lighting fires about your bad experiences.

As organiser of the Wales trip, just thought I'd add my two pence worth:

We pulled into the car park, saw all the noggys, thought it was cool and parked next to you so we could chat. We could have parked 100m away up the other end of the car park if we wanted to, so let's not pretend that we had some pre-determined opinion of you all, because that's simply not true.

The comment on us not being proper petrolheads because we spent lots of money just blinging up our cars is bizarre, they were all mostly standard, not a go-faster stripe or chrome wheel in sight. Yes, DeanoC stuck a paper Audi badge on his rented Jag for a laugh, and it was funny, but that's about it.

Yes, we had one knob in the group, which is just a consequence of opening up the trip to a public forum, there's bound to be one bad egg but you can't control what people say, and neither should you worry about it.

Personally, I thought everyone was fine, I only really spoke to Mav8 and a said hello to couple of others as I was starving and spent most of my time sat in the car wolfing down a Big Mac and 20 nuggets, so apologies I didn't come and give everyone a handshake, maybe that would have changed everyone's opinion cos I'm quite a nice bloke actually.

I like cars, and I like to drive them fast, especially my one. I like to look at other cars, and bikes, and I watch car/bike racing religiously, (much to the annoyance of the missus) however I have no idea how they work, and couldn't care less for shiny things under a bonnet. Does this make me a 'proper petrolhead'? Don't bother answering, because I couldn't give a toss, can't we just all enjoy our cars to whatever level we want to without judging others? It's not a competition, and there's much more important things in life to worry about.

Have a nice Sunday everyone, I'm having a fry up then going to the pub for a few pints, having a steak then putting feet up for the F1 race. If carlsberg did 'proper man' Sundays.......

ADI : We used to have a prime spot at ADI but we stopped paying for it and got moved around the back, next to the toilet block. Coincidentally, we also lost our first place in the awards that year too and I asked that RS246 be removed from the awards from then on as I had my reservations around the awards process and transparency.

Wales : I was there in the Datsun. It was great to see a group of noggy cars there and I thought we were all pleasant, but I wasn't in all the chats that were going on. I remember having a giggle with the noggy guys about the TT guy with the pink aerial. We discussed joining up for a drive but we were going in opposite directions. Anyway, I guess I'll keep enjoying seeing noggy cars and life will go on.

😂😂😂 I drive a Volvo, probably the furthest most people would say is an "acceptable machine" by comparison to some of the cars owned by forum members. Does that not make me a "true petrol head"? A 'minor petrol head'?. I didn't realise the worldwide definition had to be greenlit by some anally retentive bed wetter who gets a hard on over a particular colour. I was in Wales with the guys, had a great time and made some good mates I speak to daily. Your comment is the biggest pile of <beep> I've heard in a long time. I actually spoke to a few of you guys in Wales and thought you were ok - I guess first impressions can be misleading!
CURRENT: Montecarlo Blue Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifolglio, 2.9ltr bi-turbo, 510bhp
PREVIOUS: Volvo V60 Polestar, build number 149/700 worldwide - 3ltr straight 6 turbo. 350bhp remapped to 400bhp. Only one of 120 in the UK
PREVIOUS: Misano red B7 saloon, stage 2 map to 425bhp, manifold flap delete, KW V3 coilovers.

Can people please stop mixing my views with those of Banana Man!

Yes, a few of us walked away from the encounter in Wales will a less than positive view of SOME of the 246 members we met.

Yes that lines up with a widely held view/stigma of the forum.

But only one member of EditionNoggy thought it was a good idea to start firing shots here with regard to that, and it wasn’t me!

I judge people as I meet them, and was of the opinion that the stigma was likely over egged rumours.
I’m guessing maybe the main protagonist we met was said “knob” who seems to have been acknowledged to have been with you guys, and sadly it reenforced the stereotype that is out there.
