Mike have you contacted them to find out why we have some of the nicest cars test have the <beep> spot? How come the Nogaro club get prime position? What’s special about them?

Worth an email?

To be fair that is one butt hurt response.

You say you are venting towards the organisers but bring edition noggy into it? Surely the whole point of the day is just to enjoy it? You guys do have a stigma attached to yourselves and when we bumped into you guys in wales you didn’t come across very well if I’m honest, maybe you need to shake the stigma first before blaming everyone else.

Here’s another b5, I bet you can count the amount of c5’s in Nogaro on one hand.

So what your saying is because you have”bumped” into a few of us your going to
Tar us all with the same brush??as I wasn’t in Wales!!

Again it wasn’t pointed at anyone. You happened to be in the middle of the show ground. Nothing to do with the club or the people. Mav8 will confirm that’s not my style. I just happened to pick you guys.

Sad we have a stigma attached and maybe that’s the issue. It’s not the first time I have heard that. Bit sad really and probably too much has happened to put it right now.

Hey ho. Still loads of great knowledge here, and some great people.

This was my first time attending ADI. Weather probably didn't help matters but the show is a far cry from the spring/forge action days. For those shows me and my friends are usually in the section where the RS4 Facebook group was.

The pitch RS246 had at ADI was terrible but these shows favour clubs, I'd say RS246 acts more as a forum than a club which might have had something to do with it.

Fair play to the noggy lot though. Provided us with free cheeseburgers and cupcakes and were really friendly.

As for the Audi mag. I've made it in there 3 years on the trot by going to the spring/forge action days... might be due to the fact I was the only RS4 there though

I think you have a very valid point here. It’s a forum and not a club. That’s the difference. Makes more sense

No I’m saying you have a stigma attached with your club that was prevelant when I bumped into your members in wales, I can only pass judgment on my experience.

You haven’t exactly come across very well with your responses on this thread either.

Response to your new post is....

What about the RS3 boys? They where in a very good spot, the TT guys had a good spot also, I wouldn’t say we was center stage, to be fair I’m new to all this show stuff, but I just go for the enjoyment, and don’t see anywhere as a better spot than another, surely the cars make the spot rather than the spot itself? you had a lovely spot at beaulieu motor museum, maybe the club has upset the organiser at some point, I don’t know.

I do admit the weather made down the bottom a bit out the way but I still made my way down to have a look and see what was on show :beerchug:

I’m relatively new here so can I ask what all this “stigma” is? Or is it too long a story to get into?

Cheers

Well my personal experience at wales was I felt as if rs246 members where looking down at us as lesser people, at first I thought it was just me but some of the other members of edition noggy also agreed with my feelings, they where quite closed as individuals too which emphasised the initial feelings, they weren’t rude or aggressive but they also weren’t welcoming either.

My limited knowledge is that other people in the car community have either had the same experience or have heard the rumours at a guess.

Credit where credit's due, they made up 50% of the cars at the show.

The most extreme mod I saw on one was a bonnet bra though lol
