Following on from Mr Hilario's post and speaking to Jon_J I thought I would start a separate thread specifically for Wings & Wheels.

I emailed the organisers in regards to getting on the waiting list for a pitch for the club and received this reply:

Hi Duncan ,

I will put you on the waiting list , could you please tell me what cars you have?

To get your own pitch for the wheels zone you need minimum 10 cars if not we will put you with the solo’s.

If you wish to do the motoring demonstration you need to fill out an application form you can find online. You can either do the wheels zone or the motoring demonstration however not both.

I hope I have answered your questions If not just let me know

I just need a list of who would be interested in going to this and your car, to send to the organisers, then hope we get picked from the waiting list. Having a look at last years thread there didn't seem to be much of a turnout which is a shame so they may be hesitant in giving us a pitch but it would be nice to get a few more numbers interested.

If there isn't much interest for this years event I will bin it off and enquire about getting an invite to the 2019 show and start a thread for that much earlier next year.

If you guys can just add to the list below that would be great.

Hey guys,

Any more interest feel free to add your name to the list. I am going to send over the list of people interested on Monday, but I am sure i can email an updated list if more people add their names later on.

If it's below 10 I doubt we will get a club pitch so I think we would be put in the solo section but I will ask if the cars can be put together in that section anyway.

Is there any preference on which day people would be interested in going? Hopefully we will get picked off the waiting list.

The price is £15.00 for Saturday

So we have managed to get into the 'Wheels' section for the Saturday but it will be in the 'Solos' section as we have less than the required 10 to get a club pitch. I have enquired about how they would recognise that we were in the display section and got this reply.

So if people are still interested in doing this you need to pay the monies by 29th June, then I was thinking we find somewhere to meet beforehand so we can travel in together and get placed together so we can get a mini club pitch going albeit in the 'Solo' section.

I know a couple of you have gone before so may be able to recommend a meet spots beforehand.

If we could get 2 more people involved I am sure I will be able to re-email them regarding a club pitch, although we are guaranteed for the solos section on Saturday.

I have to admit emailing the organisers has been a pain in the ass. The above email was originally directed just for me, I had to email them several more times to say it was few people coming from the forum.

Even then I am still not entirely sure the woman thinks there will be more than 1 car!

I get the feeling the woman I spoke too didn't really read my email's properly but I guess thats too be accepted with such a big event being organised.

The last couple of years I dealt with a chap called Ed Lowman who was pretty good - I’ll try to remember tomorrow to find his email address and PM it over

He doesn't seem to be on their contacts page but yeah anything that will help would be appreciated.

I tried ringing today to book tickets but left it too late. I will try on Tuesday and see what the operators say as there isn't a way to book the 'Solos' section online. They may be able to help in regards to be able to possibly provide a reference that you guys can use to book for the Solo section.

I don't work in events but to me it seems slightly odd that you would just ring up and say your in the Solo section and just get the cheaper tickets, anyone could do that then. I was expecting some sort of Reference Code or something.

Anyway I will ring Tuesday and report back!

Bought tickets today, had to ring the organisers directly but got there in the end.

When you ring if you quote this name: Duncan Bryant

That should help find the list that i submitted. They have a list of the 8 cars that were interested so all you need to do is say which car and they should be able to tick you off it.

Just a heads up that its a maximum of 3 people per car, this includes the driver.

The bands will be getting sent out around July time. Once they are delivered we can start looking at meeting points around the venue beforehand.

Any problems give me a shout!

Sorry guys, going to have to pull out of this one, the Mrs has booked a weekend away in Cornwall.
