AITP and/or Wings and wheels - vote now

Post by MrHilario » Mon Apr 30, 2018 9:56 am

Hello chaps,

There are two events in August, two weeks apart, just trying to get a feel for who's interested in going to what.

AITP - Sunday 12th August
http://www.audisinthepark.co.uk/

Wings and Wheels - 25th & 26th August
https://www.wingsandwheels.net/

Wings and wheels is a great show, not been to AITP before as I've been abroad last two years, perhaps others can comment?

Get voting!

Cheers :beerchug:

Audi in the Park is a good day out, loads of nice cars there, loads of not so nice cars there, traders and things going on throughout the day.

Wings and wheels is a good family day out. You get an air show and small car show all wrapped into one.

I’ll be be going to AITP for definite, maybe do wings and wheels as well.

I'll be interested in both.

Rockingham is only about an hour from me so would be rude not to attend so that was already penciled in the diary.

Love a good airshow, may bring the old man as he used to work at Dunsfold on the Harriers when he was in the RAF.

Yeah...and that’s the second time in a row. Cars all cleaned, ticket bought blah blah blah. Let’s just say ‘married life’... totally gutted. I’m sitting here staring at my car...but poxy rain.

I’ll probably be at W&W with the family for the airshow. Shame about the forum turnout last year, although we had a good turnout the year before

Keep missing AITP because of holidays or work trips - hope to be there this year!

I may be wrong here but having a look at the wings and wheel website and it says applications for the wheels section, which I assume would be the correct area, are closed. :(

https://www.wingsandwheels.net/exhibitors

Has there already been an application for it? It does say if you want to be added to the waiting list to email events@rutland.co.uk

Just a thought if there was enough interest may be worth emailing them sooner rather than later.

Is it worth pinging them an email to see if there is a chance of getting on the waiting list?

Could try and get more info that way as well, regarding minimum numbers and stuff. Thoughts?

I'm off to Spain tomorrow morning until Sunday, can anyone else do it?

Ill be able to email them and see what the crack is if everyone happy for me to do it.

Any specific things I need to ask that people can think of?

Don't want to get an area and then not be able to fill it due to lack of numbers, so minimum numbers was one I was thinking.

Also there is a motoring demonstration on the runway, not sure what thats about but I'll ask about it too.

Would peeps be interested if it was just a blast down the runway and a drive round the top gear track?

It's just a straight line blast, no track involved. Not worth it in my opinion, think Faisal done it one year though.

Ask how many we need, should be able to get at least 6 of us there, I think 10 is easily do-able too.

Just see what they say and let us know. Cheers Vag :thumb:
