If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, when doctors eat apples do they disappear?
Re: AITP and/or Wings and wheels - vote now
Was just having a think about potential alternatives for Wings & Wheels and found this.
http://littlegransdenairshow.co.uk/
Similar thing to wings and wheels albeit probably smaller in scale but all geared towards charity. Closing date for entries for clubs is 18th August for that.
Just a thought.

Hey guys got the following reply from Wings & Wheels:
-----
Hi Duncan ,
I will put you on the waiting list , could you please tell me what cars you have?
To get your own pitch for the wheels zone you need minimum 10 cars if not we will put you with the solo’s.
If you wish to do the motoring demonstration you need to fill out an application form you can find online. You can either do the wheels zone or the motoring demonstration however not both.
I hope I have answered your questions If not just let me know
Kind Regards
-----
So we are on the waiting list... but we need at least 10 to get our own plot if someone pulls out.
I will reply clarifying, if we do get a pitch, whether it's for the whole weekend (possible stay in or around the venue for a few beers ) or a single day and the latest they need our car information.
I'm thinking if we have enough members wanting to go then we will have a better chance of getting picked from the waiting list, even if there are different people each day.
Thoughts?

Guys have we made a decision on AITP? Was a good show last year and the 4 years before that I have been.
Be good to get good numbers up there again. We’ll need to register though.

I think the best bet would be to register now anyway.
Not sure if there is limited amount of space but the sooner the forum is registered the better surely? Then numbers can be sorted nearer the time possibly?

Re: AITP and/or Wings and wheels - vote now
It might be best.
I know I emailed Wings & Wheels to get us on the waiting list and happy to email these guys too but might be better if you sort out AITP. The only reason I say that is it may get more interest from people if they know/have met the person sorting it out.
Everyone on here knows me as a ghost avatar with a stupid username at least people have met you and you have been to these with the forum before so people may be a bit more forthcoming with interest.

Re: AITP and/or Wings and wheels - vote now
That reminds me as well.
Was emailed again by the people at Wings & Wheels asking for a list of cars that were interested in going. At the moment there is only 4 votes, 1 of them being myself, for it so not sure we would be able to fill out a pitch even if we did get picked from the waiting list.
Is it worth creating a vague list of cars, like 6 RS4s & 5 RS6s something along those lines, for them in the hope there will be more interest nearer the time?
Or just sack it off completely and people who want to go just go on their own.
Interested in opinions really.

Re: AITP and/or Wings and wheels - vote now
Up to you I guess. Getting commitment to these events can be quite difficult. May be worth sticking a post up in the events section and ask people for commitment. Then you can give sensible numbers. If you only get a few responses then bin it off.
The issue with events like W&W is the space is limited, if you commit and then can’t get the numbers (only two cars arrived last year) then the events team will be cautious about reserving a space again for no one to turn up.
With events like AITP, space isn’t such an issue and if you don’t get numbers, only the club looks silly, makes no difference to the event.

Re: AITP and/or Wings and wheels - vote now
Good point.
I will create a separate thread tomorrow and see what the interest is like.
As you say, if interest is luke-warm at best I will just email them to remove the club from the waiting list and ask when entries are for the 2019 event.
There is also that charity one I linked to above, which is similar but smaller in scale and is on the same weekend as W&W. The closing date for clubs is the 18th August for that so may create a separate thread if interest in W&W is low.
