Midlands Meet :-)
Midlands Meet :-)
Been a while since we've had one and we normally have a fair turn out.
Just seeing if there is any appetite for one as the weather is about to start to improving?
I'll throw some dates up, if it looks like we can get a few cars together

If it’s not a weekend then I’ll be available. Where are you thinking for a meet though? I’m just thinking the old place would be a bit dodgy as there’s been a lot of dodgy sh1t going on in Shirley.

Re: Midlands Meet :-)
I'm interested.
As above where were you thinking? I can do any time just depends on where it would be, I live between Nottingham & Newark, so anything near Birmingham way would be a stretch for me mid-week due to work.

Re: Midlands Meet :-)
What do you guys think of here. It’s not far from M42 or the M5. Its a really nice place with a big car park round back and a big beer garden. In the summer there is always some nice metal about.

Re: Midlands Meet :-)
The only issue I see with BGI is that they might not appreciate a load of noisy motors around the back or the accompanying arriving/departing. This has not been an issue at the other place on the previous meets.
Theres lots of locations to choose from, let's see if we can get a few more numbers before deciding where/when

Re: Midlands Meet :-)
I don’t see a problem at BGI. I’ve been there during the summer months and there are always loads of very expensive metal ( Ferrari,Porsche’s, Bentleys Lambos and Aston’s ) there. There are a lot of rich folk living around BGI that like to show off the cars. A few of us went up in car Lotus 7 style track cars and were ok. But as you say. The options are open.

Re: Midlands Meet :-)
Eddies venue looks good.
Would it be worth selecting a venue now then putting a couple of dates out?
Don't want to step on any toes here but I've found that, though this is mostly with rugby tours, that getting a venue and dates picked and then choosing the most selected works well.
Obviously people are coming from different areas so maybe a date first then choosing a venue, which is easy for all yes', would work best here.
Again fairly new to the forum so you guys would be better placed to decide.
