Highly recommended!
Dunno about Silverstone but at Donnie the drivers were a mixed bag. Some where ok with some decent metal and there was a few nutters in sheds. Every track day I’ve done have been similar. Just keep 1 eye on the rear and 1 looking ahead. Drive at your own pace and if you feel uncomfortable with whoever’s behind you just pull to the right and let them pass. It’s not a race as some divvy’s think it is. I believe the Circuit days helmet hire is on a first come first serve basis. But to be honest I’d just buy a cheap open face helmet. Nits and all you know!!jonytek wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2017 10:56 amSo i'm looking at booking a day at Silverstone for the 22nd of Dec and taking the old man up while he's in town.
What is the skill level of the drivers on these days? I don't want to be out with a bunch of semi pro drivers.
Also will I be able to rent helmets for the day?

Cheers.
As Eddie says it will most likely be a mixed bag of drivers. I just let the faster metal/convoys of cars driving closely, pass and found my own slice of track to drive on. Harry's laptimer is a great app if you think you might do another track day, really lets you see your progression throughout the day. I hired a helmet for £10, but will be buying one for next time.jonytek wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2017 10:56 amSo i'm looking at booking a day at Silverstone for the 22nd of Dec and taking the old man up while he's in town.
