MK Meet - Weds 5th July

Post by Ian_C » Sat Jun 24, 2017 10:20 am

Weds 5th July, 6:30pm onwards at Ye Olde Swan, Woughton on the Green, Milton Keynes, just off the A421.

Our new home is Ye Olde Swan - bags of outside seating if the weather is like last week, a cosy 16th century core (no Disney windmills here!) plus most importantly great food!  Good turn out in April May + June so far, and a good mixture of cars lately too.  Last month, a mixture of practical daily drivers / an electric car / a C7 RS6 / a 300,000 mile Audi / an air cooled 911! Table booked, number required before the night, hence the roll call below....

6:30pm onwards, any enthusiast welcome, not just VAG and / or Porsche!  Usual suspects please post your interest, potential MK meet newbies please post below so we can look out and welcome you - even more so given the new venue!  The meet is posted on RS246, Audi SRS, the S2 Forum and TSN.

The bit highlighted in red on the second map is the road through the pub - you can access from both ends.  Congregate at the north end of the car park, the four spaces by the red arrow are the biggest for A8s + RS6s etc. Unfortunately the drizzle started not long after we arrived last month and turned to rain around 7:30pm, hence we went inside, no pics! Apologies for time taken to post pics - PC-less atm, and unable to remove plates via mobile or my wee Samsung Netbook with no mouse! And I figured I might get some strange looks doing them at work, hence they had to wait until the weekend

Great meet, superb turn out, 11 people in the end including Ric who dropped in en route from Manchester to London! Pub was BUSY - busiest I think I've ever seen it. And I've been going there a few years now, typically in the summertime, before we moved the MK meet there around October last year. No chance of getting a table for 11 outside, hence we stuck to one we had booked!

B7 Exclusive Nogaro Blue. Believed to be the only B7 RS4 (all three bodyshells) factory painted in this colour
