MK Meet - Weds 3rd May

Post by Ian_C » Thu Apr 20, 2017 6:11 pm

Weds 3rd May, 6:30pm onwards at Ye Olde Swan, Woughton on the Green, Milton Keynes, just off the A421.

Our new home is Ye Olde Swan - bags of outside seating for the summer, a cosy 16th century core (no Disney windmills here!) plus most importantly great food! Good turn out in April in the welcome daylight following the clocks changing, nice variety of cars. Table already booked for May, number required before the night, hence the roll call below....

6:30pm onwards, any enthusiast welcome, not just VAG and / or Porsche! Usual suspects please post your interest, potential MK meet newbies please post below so we can look out and welcome you - even more so given the new venue! The meet is posted on RS246, Audi SRS, the S2 Forum and TSN.

Ye Olde Swan

The bit highlighted in red on the second map is the road through the pub - you can access from both ends. Congregate at the north end of the car park, the four spaces by the red arrow are the biggest for A8s + RS6s etc

Good turn out, great to see you all, including GT Steve who popped his name down last minute and rocked up in his lovely new Daytona B7 RS4 Avant, you've done well there mate. Sadly there wasn't much V8 meaty goodness as you started up and left - stock exhaust with the flaps jammed shut I'm guessing? The two RS6s present with Akrapovic and Milltek non res sounded glorious upon departure!

Once again we liked the food and service, table booked Weds 7th June, 7:30pm, 10 people

Yeah a decent meet up, happy to show off the new wagon...

As for the exhaust, yeah stock and subdued, valves work perfectly thanks but I wanted to leave unnoticed. I made up for it on the drive home, a third of a tank of fuel in 24miles
