Re: Worthersee 2017
I've got accommodation booked for the 24-27th so will be there for the show. It seems like the best time is the lead up but should still be fun. Hopefully there's still some better cars around.

Wasn't planning on Spa but definitely stopping in at the ring, even if it's just for the photo.... and maybe the Sticker.

Re: Worthersee 2017
In short the trip as a whole was amazing, Nurburgring was awesome, fast road driving through the apls was crazy and the show was average.
We covered 2500 miles over the 10 days. We left London last Saturday and jumped on the ferry over to Calais then lunch in Bruges. From there we went to Gen and slept the night in a cheap Airbnb. The next day we drove to Stuttgart where we spent the day checking out the city. The next day was one of the better days spending it at the Nurburgring which was really cool. So many cool cars there Porsches, Lambos, Ferraris etc so we spent a lot of time checking these out between the few laps that we did. The track was crazy, it's really laid back, no safety briefings, no helmets just get out and thrash the nuts off the car. I tell you what those ceramics really blew me away out there, zero fade and the stopping power is awesome, they didn't miss a beat even if they are up side down. From here we went into Munich where we spent a couple of nights checking out the city. from there it was through the alps into Austria for the show. the show was a bit disappointing to be honest, lots of golfs with a wrap wnd wheels. there were a few better cars though, Rs6's, 3's, a couple of 4's, lots of golfs of all generations. The show was lots of what us Aussie's call bog laps, just driving around letting people check out the car. It definitely get a lot of attention and people seemed to like what I've done which is nice. The location is beautiful on the lake where we spent a bit of time swimming. We did a run into Slovenia via the higest mountain pass we could find. this run was sick, got in some really fast runs down the windy roads on the far side, we ended up in Italy for a bit of luch and to let the oil temp come back down. After the show we went into Venice for the day then back through Switzerland, France then back on the ferry from Calais.
In all it was a great experience and I will be heading back next year a couple of weeks earlier when the better quality cars are around.
Let me see if I can dig up some pics on my phone. I don't have a whole lot to be honest, only of the car which I'll add my build thread...

Re: Worthersee 2017
Maybe I'm an idiot doing 2500 miles with upside down brakes and no handbrake but I can live with that.
I'm glad they didn't fail on the mountain pass. Lol.
