Managed to get myself a slot on this, driving various RS models & the R8 courtesy of Audi UK - just wondered if anyone else on here is going to this one on Weds morning?

Yes Pete - it should be fun - looking forward to it!
I should be finishing the morning session as you arrive for the afternoon one, so I'll keep an eye out for your RS6...

A thoroughly enjoyable day!
Was lucky enough to have the sessions allocated in the right order:
1) Emergency braking and avoidance in the RS6
2) Course tuition in RS7 & RSQ3 with slalom, chicane and cornering
3) Rag the arse of the R8s following the crazy Swedish chef from the muppets in his RS6
Far more educational and an experience than any 'gift' days.
Highly recommended.

It was a freebie, courtesy of Audi UK. I'd enquired earlier in the year if Camberley Audi were running an Audi Sport Showcase day at a local hotel like they have in previous years and was told sadly not. Then a couple of weeks later Audi UK contacted me asking if I was interested in this instead...no brainer!

I agree Pete - was really good fun - especially for a freebie. You were a bit luckier than me - I did the handling/cornering first, followed by the R8's, and then the RS6 brake & avoid at the end. Would have preferred to do the R8's last but beggars can't be choosers. Was really impressed with the R8 I have to say - had much more theatre about it than I remember from the previous V10 model - the sound is epic!
And you're not wrong about the Swedish instructor - he was a great laugh & slightly crazy too!

I'm not sure if yesterday was the last session - they were definitely only running 2 days at Thruxton. I was offered a choice of circuits/dates but from memory most of them were earlier in the summer. I'll see if I can dig out the email...
Failing that I'd just ask your local dealer...you might get lucky

Found the email - there are a couple more dates but they're up in North Yorkshire in early October.
Maybe they've organised some more though since then - like I say probably worth asking your local dealer in the first instance...

I did one of these at Bedford a few weeks ago. Great event & very well organised. Very similar in format to the ADE at Silverstone.
As expected, the R8 was the most fun & the RSQ3 the least.
