MK Meet - Weds 5th August, 6:30pm onwards onwards at the Caldecotte Arms, Milton Keynes.

Last months meet was the hottest day for ten years, and the biggest attendance for many years too. Superb meet, great to see so many people, about 19 attendees I think, nice mixture of VAG cars. Weather was baking, pub was packed, was nice to sit outside, haven't done that for years either.

6:30pm onwards, any enthusiast welcome, not just VAG and / or Porsche, usual suspects please post your interest, potential MK meet newbies please post below so we can look out and welcome you! The meet is posted on RS246, Audi SRS, the S2 Forum and TSN. As mentioned previously, the food is very much part of this meet, its great to get everyone around a table together - inside or outside!

For any newcomers (or forgetful old timers) the Caldecotte Arms pub is by the junction of the A5 and the A4146 right next to the oddly shaped - and now smoothly resurfaced - roundabout under the A5 (great for testing your Milltek). Look for the Windmill! Coming off the dual carriageway, drive down as far as the pub and then turn left towards the outside 'arc' of the car park - the top tier so to speak.

I may be picking the car up Wednesday evening and driving straight there at this rate!

Jcwf are hoping it's done and ready Wednesday but it'll be tight to get to the meet. We'll see!

For any first timers, the car park has two tiers / arcs. Driving into the pub of the dual carriageway, turn left as soon as you come into the car park up an incline to get up to the top tier

If I get there for 19:00-19:30 am I likely to miss it all? Shall I still come? I can't get there much earlier I don't think.

Nah we'll be there until late - and still outside at that time if its not raining - we don't normally order food until after 8pm at the very earliest

I'm very sorry to have missed this guys - I was with JCWF until 8pm and then obviously had to drive home. I'll see you all at AITP and the next MK meet of course!

Forgot to update this - superb meet despite the shower bang on 6:30pm (hence no pics - well actually I plain forgot as I was too busy chatting)

11 attendees I think? Good to catch up with some people I've not seen for ages, plus some new faces too! A spread of motors too - 205 GTi, Megane R26, Boxster S, 996 Carrera 4, Mk1 Leon, Mk1 TT, Mk7 Golf R, S2 Coup, S2 Avant and a 550 bhp B5 RS4
