MK Meet - Weds 5th September, 6:30pm onwards onwards at the Caldecotte Arms, Milton Keynes.

Last of the summer meets, penultimate of the monthly (BST) meets, had some good weather this summer. 6:30pm onwards, but if people cannot arrive until later that is of course absolutely fine. Usual suspects please post your interest, potential MK meet newbies please post below so we can look out and welcome you! Any enthusiast welcome, hosted by Tyresmoke, cross posted on RS246, Audi SRS and the S2 Forum. As mentioned previously, the food is very much part of this meet, with the better weather I'd expect to wander inside 8 - 8:30 ish? Table wise, we'll be outside for long enough for long enough with the decent weather for everyone to arrive before we wander in together.

For any newcomers (or forgetful old timers) the Caldecotte Arms pub is by the junction of the A5 and the A4146 right next to the oddly shaped - and now smoothly resurfaced - roundabout under the A5 (great for testing your Milltek). Look for the Windmill! Coming off the dual carriageway, drive down as far as the pub and then turn left towards the outside 'arc' of the car park - the top tier so to speak.

Scenic route to MK - not scenic part of MK! 8)

Having said that, I went to Ye Olde Swan in Woughton on the Green, recommended to me by an MK meet attendee, about as 'scenic' as it gets in MK - Milton Keynes village aside. It's not far from the MK Meet Caldecotte Arms pub, there's an epic 12 foot low clearance tunnel under the A421 right by the pub, its impossible to drive through that underpass sensibly.....

Just finishing washing and waxing the car, just alloys and Milltek left

Dash was showing 27.5 as I arrived, and still 20 degrees as I departed in convoy with a certain ex-RobK B5 RS4 across and out of MK, absolutely superb. Great to catch up with people, a fantastic final summer meet. Good to have another B6 S4 V8 for company too!

Next meet October before we then skip Nov and congregate every other month through the winter until the clocks revert for April

Similar thing happened to me this morning coming into MIllbrook with the temperature change and the steam up outside, weather is definitely changing fast!

Sounds odd!!? Only thing I can think is the air con vents cooling the windscreen and condensation on the outside. Try air con off / four windows down tonight on the way home!

Graham and I did think the other day we were overdue Buddies meet, we put the feelers out to see who was available but couldn't agree a date, I'll give you a shout if we try again soon!

its got to be related to the condensation outside from all the fog - this was at 5am, and it was pretty solid then

did you try the 70mph cruise thing on the way home? I am up to 32mpg now, driving like a granny, cha-ching :s4addict:

Thats not 195 on the range, thats 195 miles covered since last fill up / trip reset.

Not even the family 2.0 TDi A3 is *that* good (54 mpg on the DIS is my personal best from memory, driving like a granny!)
