'Lo again.

We've definatly got a TT meet organised for the 11th now meeting at donnington m1 services at 10am and then rolling onto the trackday to meet you lot. Looking like 5 - 10 people at the most, so shouldn't be any problem I hope. Will be good to meet everyone and see whats going off, i know some off the TT forum are already involved with this also. I've not been to a track day before so I'm lookng forward to it. Hopefully get on the track next time even.

* * * Total Audi * * *

Tom from Total Audi will be attending and taking large amounts of photos, so please wear your RS246 polo shirts :) . We'll bring some along for those of you who would like some.

Tom is looking to do a feature on Audi clubs/forums and what drives us and what we can do to make it better. He'll also be bringing some Total Audi goodies to the event.

Of course it is Clive, no problem :-)

It's not some kind of exclusive club.

The TT boy are most welcome too. I hope there's no rain though, what with the hair do's and all that :-)

Cool, I'd like a polo shirt, and maybe a sticker for the car if simple1 is able to bring some? :)

I'll apologise in advance though, as its very likely my car will be filthy by sunday.

Thanks a lot for organising all of this, not long to wait now.

Hi guys, new to the forum, I'm thinking of turning up for this event and deciding on the day for track time dependant on conditions, is this trackday open pit may I ask?

What does "open pit" mean?

Still hoping the ferries will run so I can participate.

Open pit is when the organisers set a limit on the number of cars on the track and when one comes off another is allowed on. This way you can stay out as long as you like, but normally the car will 'tell' you its had enough (brakes will fade first).

The other method is sessions. This is still a set amount of cars, but it will be a set time or number of laps.

Generally open pit is better as you can be flexible and over a day gedt more time on track.

Oh man, car cleaning is not my thing. Looks like a requirement though :-)

I'm really looking forward to it. The turnout is a credit to the forum and I'm sure everyone from spectators through to people doing everything will have a memorable day out.
