Well i left early due to the Wife being poorly (silly bint) & not wanting to push my luck on the home front.

The weather ranged between really <beep> & <beep>. Cold, wet, windy & heavy rain.

That said the M5 did what she needed to do & the new Mich PS2's are a delight by comparison to the Conti's. No major incidents although some Radical shed dropped some metal as it span & the car in front of my flicked said metal into the front passenger side bumper & took 2 healthy chunks out of it.

Lots of spins out on the track & many silly boys in the wrong groups which spoilt the day a little for everyone else. I had mucho fun, got some good laps in & really enjoyed my 1st time at Donnington (will defo be going back to try to experience some dry laps). Cheers to those who organised. Was good to catch up with some of you (even PhilT);)

I only got on the track in the afternoon and it was slippery then, so you all day folks must have had fun

Nice to see Deane, Doug, Steph, Ash, Nige, Phil etc. (sorry I'm crap with names).

I echo Paul's views about some of the driving, it was busy and there seemed to be some pretty strange 'styles' on show and far too much aggression. but hey ho.

Gutted I missed this, ended up taking a friend to A&E this morning with a broken arm and then meeting old friends in the various beverage retailers in Nottingham. Was thinking of you when driving through a very wet Nottinghamshire this morning.

All in all, a good day out for me. The Novice session was OK. People got used to seeing the "Uber Barge" looming up behind them and duly moved to one side. The RS6 faired pretty well on the track, but it ain't ever gonna be a track weapon.... I'd like to see how it handles the ring though as the joy of auto is really something else (And no, I'm not getting that old )

Well that was my first time at donnington,what can i say very scary in the morning very slippy ,the afternoon was a lot better,must thank david t for the passenger laps, highlight of my day,i think steph was impressed too.Nice too see some of the other guys from the forum ,im keeping my eye on the donny web site for the next trackday day( dry hopefully)cant wait to do it again ,bakerdcb dont worry about it i had forgot about it as soon as it happened anyway guys have a good new year and see you all in 2007 ash
