Well I was lucky enough to be passengering with John, when this late afternoon epic battle commenced.

It certainly was a VERY evenly matched drive, and it was impossible to seperate the two cars! Whilst on the straights the GT3 did pull away ever so slightly, into the bends Rob in his CSL would come bounding in. John and Rob have considerabley different driving stlyes, and it would be interesting to see what the result would have been if they had switched cars. I enjoyed it thoroughly! :D

Thanks again John, much appreciated! Oh BTW, im looking into some P Corsas as I type this! 8)

I think its fair to say I couldnt catch Rob and he couldnt catch me, but with maybe a more masterful driver in the GT3 i think it would have been a different outcome.
I actually wasnt aware of a race, just a bit of fun thats all, nothing to proove
Cheers

Yep I agree John, there certainly wasn't any racing. It was all a bit of fun in a 100% safe way. :)

And the CSL was on cup tyres, whilst I believe jr is still on his road tyres (they must be due replacement soon?). Someone once said that cup tyres alone are worth around 5 secs a lap, and would definately help in the corners.

I had a great day. I am really getting a good feel for the 6's handling and more confident putting into corners quickly.

Had an 'interesting' journey home.....5 hours to do 180 miles.....on the back of a flatbed :(

Low pressure warning came up on nsf, as soon as I put the pressure guage on it the valve collapsed and all the air rushed out. No spare and the tyre gunk is no good if the valve is buggered!

So 1.5hrs waiting for recovery and a 3.5hr slow journey home....bugger.

Damon, you were fortunate that nothing untoward happened whilst on the track!

Many thanks to Lee, David and Colin and Mr Champan for making it such a good day, and to him up stairs for keeping the rain away!!!!!!!!!
