Great day out, as usual. Good to put some more faces to names (and to finally meet you too Adam!)

Again, thanks go to DavidT and Thorney for arranging and hosting, MRC for their expert advice and analysis, and neily for his sterling photographic efforts, and of course to the rest of you lot for coming along, putting up with the cold, no burger van, and Jules' hair...

My results were 315.9bhp at the wheels, and 424.9bhp/480lbft estimated crank. I'm happy with that, although after Mihnea's recent magic tweak of the map, my 'seat of the pants' dyno tells me it's maybe a little more than that.

Like Adam, a 'holy grail' of 450bhp would be good enough for me - perhaps a less restrictive exhaust will be the next step, as I dont think the AWE ICs are far behind the FMIC.

An interesting hack up the M1 with Paz...

Looks like I need to increase my torque figures Mike. As you say, nearly 30bhp more but 62 ftlb less? Is this down to the rs4s running lower compression? Think we need to discuss this in another section or we'll get shouted at!

I'm not sure what it's down to Ad, but I'd be interested to find out. I don't see why we shouldn't chat about it here whilst the irons hot as they say! Wished I wasn't running out and watching American Gangster (why did an image of Grizz's RS6 pop into my brain just then?).

@ David T, cheers for the obvious answer on the FATS figures. I wished I remembered all that I'd forgotten, if that makes sense.

I look forward to people posting their own so we can do a list (please don't post anyone elses results or details)
Ooops - sorry, I posted Clive's results before you posted this Dave. Didn't know it wasn't 'the done thing'!
and Jules' hair...
Hey! Grizz has got spikier hair than me ... You're just jealous Clive 'cos someone draped the pelt of an old dead poodle on your head!

I also agree that Jason should go back and re-test - there's no way those figures can be right for his car. I think they must have re-calibrated the dyno after he went on, so should probably ignore the figures from his run.

My FATS time (thanks MarkB :) ) was 4.03. Two up, full tank of fuel, weekend luggage, kitchen sink etc. :) Compares fairly well with the 3.6-3.7 I usually get.

With spirited road driving, my air intake temps were in the 20-33 range with a peak of 45 after one FATS run, it never got

I hear that the 300C tore the rollers up!

Note to self, must buy something that pulls them apart next time!!
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Out of interest, who produced the most power and/or torque on the day?

I just wanted to add my thanks to all those involved in organising and running the day.

It was the first dyno I’ve seen one of my cars on. I can honestly say watching, no, listerning to your own car absolutely screaming on the dyno is totally excruciating!

My heart feels for who ever it was that suffered a set back whilst their car was on the dyno. I hope it’s a straightforward fix.

My Car :
2000 S4, K04s, tubular manifolds, 100 CPI cats, custom exhaust, FMIC, 720cc injectors, RS4 MAF, 044 fuel pump, K&N cone filter. On the day I ran 26 psi boost all the way to the redline burning Tesco 99 octane fuel.

My results:
Run1 – coolish engine – 499 bhp @6000 rpm, 515 ftlbs at 3600rpm 8)
Run2 – engine hot and the dyno boost sensor pipe burst from the manifold  resulting in a boost leak (AFR fell to <10:1 by redine!) -460 bhp @ 5400 rpm, 520 ftlbs @ 3200 rpm. No harm done though.

I’m not too sure how to accept the results. The first run is a little higher than I expected, and the 2nd and 3rd are with a hot car and / or a boost leak due to the dyno pressure pipe popping off. I guess I’ll have to go back to TMS once I’ve fiddled a bit more (and fixed the oil leak - oops). I think the car has a few more ftlbs before I need to swap heads or head gaskets….

BIg thanks to DavidT & Thorney ..... good day out ... 8)
Good to meet PhilT - although the mini sausages were a bit dry .... like his wit ....

My results were okay;

390 @ crank
296 @ wheels .....

Got a blip in my graphs at 3400 rpm where it drops then gets on the rise again .. get that sorted soon ..
happy dayz .... party ....
