Yea sure, friends Mum (pictured) who both went is a motoring journalist and got us both press passes, she is good friends with the head of Audi PR. They was loving it when they found out was driving down in an RS4. She also had the new 2011 4motion camper van to courtesy of VW press, for the Le Mans weekend. what a great bit of kit that is, but no way would I pay 47k. To rub it in she also went over to Austria to test drive the new RS3! its alright for some ah? lol

im gonna order a California next year and drive to Poland for Euro 2012 ... sleeps 4 dont it, so why are you in a tent outside !!

I used to have an older version of this and loved it. Used it to tow my race car to meets - just pull up in the paddock, roll out the bed and sleep! Tempted to get one again but can't really justify it at the moment.

His mum and sister was in the camper. Nothing wrong with manning it up in a tent

Was a great weekend wasn't it? Im still sorting my pics out took over a thousand. Got some great pics from above the pits as I had Audi VIP passes to there lounge. Here's a teaser..
Yes we were in MB, just round the corner from you at the far end near the track.

Had a great trip. But a few VIP Audi passes would have been a bonus :D How many can you get for next year

What a battle! Simply epic. Watching the Peugeot and Audi dicing into Indianapolis and Arnage - still on the same lap 15 hours into the race, so close you could throw a blanket over them - as the sun came up 6am Sunday is something that will stick with me for a while. So little run off, so close to the track. Spooky, surreal, almost emotional.

You hit the nail on the head, when both cars had to pit in the last 10 minutes of the race, and the Peugeot moved off before the Audi, that was a heart wrenching moment, the crowds went mental, and cheers when Audi pulled out just in the nick of time. The adrenalin was pumping.

Loved the way the Audi boys knew precisely how long it took to change four wheels, so did just that, knowing they'd come out first.

Apparently Audi was running 6 previous Le Man drivers, all 6 was in cars 1 and 3. Car 2 was driven by non Le Mans experienced drivers. So it was good to see car 2 win. Also, Audi was running a female as the pit controller, again, apparently the first time in history...oh and t make history, the RS5 Safety car when deployed on the car 3 crash needed to pit for fuel, again this was the first time ever a safety car needed to be replaced. It did make me chuckle.

Thought Lotterer, Treluyer and Fassler were runners up last year with Audi? In fact I'm pretty sure the nine drivers were the same this year as last.

Top marks to Lotterer who effectively did a six-stint at the end if you include that final splash and dash Sonny mentioned above. Treluyer had longed it out to three hours with a quad stint, pitting after 11am (local) meaning Lotterer could race to the end and not breach the four hour time limit.

Agree - an amazing 24 hours (and that was just on TV...)

The commentary said that everyone in cars 1 & 3 had already won the race, so by number 2 winning this year it meant that all nine had now been on the top step

Yes sorry, the cars 1-3 had Le Man winners, car 2 did not. This is what I was told.
